I love wearing my knitwear samples, sometimes I feel guilty about it -- it's best to tuck them away so they can be used for display instead of getting worn and weathered. Rather than rough up our JOURNEY samples Shannon and I set to work making our own sweaters. I designed INLAND to live in, and since finishing mine I've done just that -- I wear it like a house coat when I'm working. It's also the perfect length to keep me warm under my favorite MEC raincoat -- if you live on the West Coast you know all too well that winter coats are only good on non-rainy days and if you're to survive here, warm + waterproof is essential!

I knit size 34 in Patons Classic Wool Roving. I didn't make any modifications and I adore my cardi -- the roving is a little less hard wearing than the Puffin used for the book sample but it's buttery soft and for that I can handle a little pilling.

So many gorgeous projects are cropping up in our JOURNEY knit along, it has been so fun to follow everyone's progress! I hope you've been having fun with us!
