Off My Needles / TFA Arika Cowl

Arika Cowl knitting pattern by Jane Richmond

As I mentioned in my Getting Through It post, part of my process lately has been regularly revisiting my WIPs and slowly checking items off the list. Progress is slow but I don't mind — I just keep chipping away at it — it feels good to be in no hurry and more mindful in the process. Plus, I'm actually finishing things!

This Arika Cowl is a perfect example of just how old some of my works-in-progress are. This one I cast on in 2016 during a KAL and just recently finished blocking and seaming it! I made a fun little video of the blocking process here

I find knit alongs incredibly motivating and I typically race through and finish ahead of schedule (or knit multiples). BUT, if I don't finish by the end date I often lose steam and set the project aside (often forgetting about it for a while).

I decided to hold off on adding the fringe because I really like the way it looks without. Because this is my second Arika in TFA, I know that there's enough leftover in the skein to add fringe later on if I feel like it.

Here is my project page on Ravelry. If you're looking for the pattern, you can find it here
