Sew much Sewing ♥

A few years ago I began sewing my own clothes. I never really realized how much that sewing had amounted to until I was reorganizing my fabric swatch book (below) and thought to add finished projects to my notes to give each swatch a little more context. I thought I could fill this in from memory because who can't remember all of the things they've hand made?? Only a few things came to mind until I started pulling things out of drawers and off of hangers — by the end I had a massive pile of me-made clothes on the bed and very little left in my drawers (most of which doesn't really get worn since I started sewing for myself)!!!

The nerd in me needed to make an itemized list of the stack above but I've spared you having to scroll through all 59 pieces and moved it to the bottom of this post! Putting this post together has me begging the question — is there not a Ravelry-like-site for those who sew????

ETA — since posting I've had a ton of people suggest Textillia! I've signed up and am in the process of adding my sewing projects!! If you're already a member or decide to sign up come find me — I'd love to see what you're making!

A lot of my clothing is made from self drafted patterns. The photo above shows just how many pairs of undies I had to make (clear tote) before getting a pair just right. My self drafted underwear pattern is what I used to make all of my bikini bottoms.

This year is the 10 year anniversary of Me-Made May. Below is a post I made on Instagram just 5 days before I had my accident, confessing all of the reasons I've shied away from participating, and vowing to make 2019 the year I finally take part. I'd like to make good on that promise — and I think I've got enough in my wardrobe to do it!

Have you ever participated in Me-Made May?
