Tofino

For Christmas Chris and I were treated to a really, really lovely getaway that we chose to take the weekend of our wedding anniversary, February 22nd. The trip was two nights in Tofino in a room that looked out onto this beautiful scene...

How about an aerial view... this was taken atop the huge rocks jutting out from the sand, it's where the winding boardwalk ends.

I set out for the hike wearing an oversized sweater underneath my snowboarding jacket, my neck wraped in an enormous scarf, with thick woolly socks inside my gumboots only to find the weather unseasonably warm (Tofino has a reputation for being chilly, grey, and overcast even during the summer).

We surfed our butts off, I'm so sore even my armpits hurt.

...and I even found a quiet moment in the late afternoon to knit in the sun.

I am so very thankful that we were able to take such a lovely trip, thank you so much to the enablers, you know who you are.
