Off My Needles: Begbie Cowl with Arbutus Buttons

This post is a little overdue but that is to be expected after a busy holiday season. Things get backed up and believe you me, I have a long list of projects that need to be photographed so hopefully the beginning of this new year will be filled with new things from me!

Off the needles this time is the Begbie Cowl in Royal blue with Arbutus branch buttons that Chris made for me a while back, they are gorgeous. I like the combination of the modern electric blue and the earthy wooden buttons. This is my second Begbie Cowl and I honestly can't decide which version I like better, buttoned or seamed.

Here is a sneak preview of a toque that I have been working on, I hope to offer the pattern in a fitted and slouchy version.

::: Has anyone noticed my blue kick? I tend to go on colour streaks. The length of these streaks always varies, anywhere from a few months to several years, and in the end I tend to drop the colour completely and move on to something new, never really feeling the same way about that colour again. Does anyone else have this strange habit?
