Spud & Chloë | Dogwood Set
Back in December Katie invited me to design a simple project using Outer to share as a free pattern on the Spud & Chloë blog. I had just finished a design (yet to be released) with the Sweater weight yarn (which is really lovely stuff!) so I was excited to work with their yarns again.
I picked up a skein of Outer from Buttons & Needlework Boutique and dove into swatching. Because the yarn is super bulky it was difficult to squeeze a project out of just one skein, or at least the project I had in mind. The slipped stitch cowl I was swatching would require one and a half skeins.
The Spud & Chloë team chose Rocket for the final sample.
Isn't this a fun colour! It reminds me of flowers and Spring blossoms.

If you've knit any of my accessory patterns you may notice that I like to use up every last inch of yarn so as much as I loved my cowl, leaving half a skein unused just didn't sit right with me. I decided to create a set of matching slip stitch mittens that also require one and a half skeins of yarn.

So now you can treat yourself to 3 skeins of Spud & Chloë Outer and whip up these fast and easy projects without wasting any of this warm, squishy, soft and oh so lovely yarn!
Designing for Spud & Chloë was a really great experience, they are amazing to work with! So thanks again Katie for such a fun opportunity.
