Lit Knits / Review & Giveaway

I was lucky enough to be asked to join the blog tour for Audry Nicklin's new book Lit Knits. One of the first things that struck me about this book is just how well thought out it is. Audry took great care to design pieces that are inspired by classic literature without being costumy. I loved reading About the Book and all of the behind the scenes things like how the book came about and all of the little details along the way that lead to the end result.

As for the projects, I love all of the fun details that make these pieces unique.

...Like the hidden key on the bottom of Behind the Garden Wall socks inspired by The Secret Garden.

The clever cable pattern names for Brinker, inspired by Hans Brinker or the Silver Skates, include "Skaters to Your Mark" and "Race to the Finish".

And the treasure map that lies within the stitch pattern of Sail to Treasure Island where X marks the spot!

The book is now available for pre-order until September 25th, order now and receive a complimentary copy of the eBook! Books ship mid-November.
And the best part, Audry is kindly giving away a copy of the eBook to one of my lucky readers! Simply leave a comment below and I will draw a winner Sunday, September 29th!

Comment must include contact information (email, Ravelry ID, blog URL, twitter handle...) in order to qualify, winner will be announced Monday, September 30th.

. . .

Thanks again Audry for including me in the tour and for sharing your lovely book with us.
